About Victoria & Albert Museum, London
The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art and design, when we say V&A’s online collection, it includes more than 1.2 million objects from ancient Chinese ceramics to Alexander McQueen evening dresses. Their aim lies in creating a world-class visitor and learning experience across all V&A sites and collections and expanding the V&A's international reach, reputation and impact.
In this industry collaborative student project, we were encouraged to align our studio practices and research methods working on live briefs in a professional environment. We developed critical approaches to design and build interactive systems and digital experiences that respond to human context.

Challenge
Accessing museums and their hidden treasures is really important to us, technology is changing the way people learn and museums will follow the change. Challenge is to better communicate the scale, range and tactility of the V&A’s collections digitally.
Approach
To facilitate the brief we created an accessible, immersive, and innovative method to enhance customer interaction with collection online and in their own physical space. Experience also acts as a tool for education.
